Fee Policy

At Cyoride, we charge a refundable security deposit of up to Rs 5000, which might be lower during specific promotions. Rest assured, the deposit will be refunded within 10 days after your booking ends. For quicker refunds, you can choose either the “Refund to Bank Account” or “Refund to Wallet” options during the payment process, and you’ll receive your money back within 4 days after your booking’s end time.

At Cyoride, we have various pricing plans to suit your needs. Each plan has a different “Kilometres limit,” which means the total allowed kilometers for your booking is calculated by multiplying the booking duration with the hourly “Kilometres limit” of your chosen plan. If you exceed the total allowed kilometers, you will incur “extra kms charges,” which depend on the car model and city you are in.

At Cyoride, for “with fuel” pricing, if you need to refuel during your journey, we’ll reimburse the cost. Just show the fuel bills to our delivery executive when you return the car and let them take a photograph of them. Please don’t hand over the original bill to the delivery executive as we won’t be responsible for any loss.

Please keep these points in mind:

  • Show the fuel bills to our delivery executive during return; we can’t reimburse fuel bills shared later.
  • The fuel expense should reasonably reconcile with the distance traveled.
  • The fuel expense should reasonably reconcile with the car’s standard fuel efficiency. We assume a lower mileage than what ARAI defines (Automotive Research Association of India) for user benefit.
  • The fuel bill date should fall within the booking period.
  • Hand-written fuel bills will be considered invalid.

With Cyoride, in case of damages, your liability is limited to a maximum of Rs 10000. You’ll be required to pay the Damage Fee, which is equivalent to the repair cost estimated by an authorized dealership, and downtime losses, up to a maximum of Rs 10000. This is regardless of the nature and terms of the insurance cover that Cyoride has on the cars.

Please note that this maximum liability policy is designed to benefit and protect responsible users. However, in situations of irresponsible, unsafe, or negligent usage, there might be exceptions to this policy. In such cases, the user could be held liable for all damages, regardless of whether Cyoride can claim insurance. Some examples of such situations include:

  1. Non-compliance with laws and/or Cyoride’s User Agreement
  2. Driving under the influence of alcohol/narcotics
  3. Over-speeding above the prescribed limit
  4. Violation of traffic rules or the Motor Vehicles Act
  5. Different driver from the one who made the booking
  6. Consequential damage caused by continuing to drive the vehicle when it’s not performing properly

If the estimated damage charges exceed the security deposit, we will ask the user to pay the difference upon returning the car. Failure to pay may result in legal action, reporting to credit bureaus, and other relevant authorities.

Please be aware that in case of an accident, fare for unused hours will not be refunded.

Cyoride usually avoids charging for very minor damages, covering the majority of incidents under the maximum liability policy.

Important: If the user notices any pre-existing issue with the car after delivery, it must be reported within the first 40 Kms or 2 hours of car delivery. Any issues reported later will be considered to have occurred during the user’s trip, and relevant damage charges will be applied.

In cases of collision or user failure, towing and impounding charges will be paid by the user. In cases of vehicle failure, towing and impounding charges will be covered by Cyoride.

At Cyoride, we want to provide all our users with a smooth and enjoyable experience. To ensure this, we have some simple norms that everyone needs to follow. If any of these norms are breached, certain penalties will apply:

Failure to show the driving license and identity proof (Aadhaar card or Passport) during car delivery will result in the booking being treated as cancelled. You will be charged 100% of the base fare, along with applicable doorstep delivery and pickup charges. Please note that a driving license printed on an A4 sheet of paper will not be considered valid.

Delay in taking car delivery from the delivery executive will not incur a fee for the first 15 minutes of delay (counted from the scheduled booking start time). However, after that, a charge of Rs. 50 will apply for every additional 15 minutes of delay.

Any traffic or parking violations during your booking will require you to make full payment of fines or late fees, even if we receive notifications from relevant authorities after the booking has ended. Additionally, there will be an extra charge of Rs. 500 for every 30 days of delay in paying the fines.

Over-speeding above 125 Kms/Hr will result in a penalty of Rs. 750 for the first incident. For repeated infractions after a warning, the penalty will increase to Rs. 2000. Repeated over-speeding may lead to the withdrawal of services for the user.

If the car key is lost or not returned within 3 days, there will be a penalty of Rs. 300, along with the replacement cost of the key.

Smoking inside the car will result in a penalty of Rs. 1000, along with any applicable costs related to interior damages.

If the car’s interiors require cleaning, a minor cleaning fee of Rs. 500 will apply. For major cleaning, the fee will be Rs. 1000.

If you return the car to the wrong location, i.e., a different location from the one specified during booking/modification, there will be a penalty of Rs. 500, along with the base fare and late penalty for additional hours until the vehicle is returned to the correct location.

Not refueling the car and returning it with a lower fuel level than received will result in a refueling service charge of Rs. 500, along with the actual fuel cost to bring the tank to the same level as it was during delivery.

We hope that all our users follow these norms to enjoy a seamless and hassle-free experience with Cyoride.
